Project Roadmap to Sustainable Living connects Inštitut Središče zagovorništva (Slovenia), University Center of South Iceland (Háskólafélag Suðurlands) and Jedi Movement (Serbia). The project brings together partners from three countries who share a common goal — to promote sustainability, inclusion, and active citizenship through education, community engagement, and personal empowerment.
Roadmap to Sustainable Living aims to empower adults who, for various reasons, have fewer opportunities or limited connections within their communities. The project seeks to make sustainability accessible, practical, and inclusive — transforming environmental awareness into everyday action.
Through this initiative, the partners will co-create:
- Practical toolkit to support individuals, institutions, and municipalities in sustainability education and communication.
- A series of interactive workshops, designed to strengthen participants’ understanding of environmental issues and develop practical green skills that can be applied in daily life.
The project highlights three of the four priorities of the Erasmus+ program:
sustainability, inclusion, and active participation in democratic life. It will support individuals from diverse backgrounds, including those facing language barriers, social isolation, or living in rural areas — helping them connect, contribute, and take action for a sustainable future.
Kick-off meeting took place in Selfoss, south Iceland between 13th and 14th October 2025, where representatives from Iceland, Slovenia, and Serbia came together to plan activities and strengthen cooperation. The meeting set a strong foundation for collaboration, mutual learning, and shared responsibility in delivering the project’s outcomes.
In the next 18 months , the project will focus on:
- Developing educational materials and the sustainability toolkit.
- Organising local workshops and events in each partner country.
- Encouraging cooperation between communities, municipalities, and individuals to promote sustainable living.
