CRITICAL THINKING FOR TOMORROW (NextGEN)<\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The project, which began in December 2025, encourages young people to o think critically, speak confidently, and take action in their communities<\/b>. With the help of interesting debate competitions<\/b>, interactive online learning<\/b> and practical civic initiatives <\/b>young people have the opportunity to develop practical skills and test them in real-life situations. The project also highlights the work of young people and their organisations through social media, local press, and collaboration with influencers<\/b>, ensuring that innovative learning and civic engagement extend far beyond the participants themselves.<\/p>

Project plans:<\/strong><\/p>

  • Debate competitions:<\/b> The project will include debate competitions held in eight schools and youth centers across Slovenia, supported by eight preparatory workshops with 20 participants each. The workshops will be led by ten qualified lecturers who have been trained in two special workshops. Participants will prepare for the competition with the help of a specially developed handbook and game cards<\/b>, the competition will consist of two qualifying rounds and one final, giving young people more opportunities to practice and showcase their debating skills.<\/p><\/li>

  • Online platform learning for critical thinking:<\/b> The interactive online platform will host study sessions and serve as a hub for learning materials, enabling participants to actively explore and promote different perspectives. Five online study sessions will focus on specific critical thinking skills: analytical thinking, reasoned judgment, inference, openness, and problem solving.<\/b>, offering structured opportunities to develop practical critical thinking skills<\/p><\/li>

  • Civic actions:<\/b> The project will train five young people in civic participation activities. Participants will then design and implement one joint international civic action in Lithuania and two local civic actions in Slovenia, applying their critical thinking and leadership skills in real life and creating tangible effects in their communities.<\/p><\/li><\/ul>

    What impact do we expect?<\/strong><\/p>

    Gaining experience and implementing new NFE methodologies, including discussion techniques and online learning methods, offering new programs with material that is immediately ready for use.<\/p>

    ROADMAP TO SUSTAINABLE LIVING<\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

    In September 2025, we are launching a new 18-month international project Roadmap to Sustainable Living<\/strong>, which we have developed in collaboration with H\u00e1sk\u00f3laf\u00e9lag Su\u00f0urlands (Iceland), Jedi Movement (Serbia), and ISZ \u2013 Institute Center for Advocacy (Slovenia). The project aims to make sustainability practical, inclusive, and accessible for adults across Europe.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

    The project aims to increase adult participation in addressing environmental challenges, particularly for people with fewer opportunities, including migrants and rural residents, who are often underrepresented in lifelong learning. By linking sustainability and inclusion, it promotes the digital and green transition, improves working practices, and encourages active citizenship and European values.<\/span><\/p>

    Project plans:<\/span><\/p>

    • Preparing a plan \u2013 a step-by-step guide<\/strong>, covering 10 key sustainability topics, based on research findings and containing a clear methodology for implementing everyday measures against climate change.<\/span><\/li>
    • Develop a journal \u2013 a practical tool<\/strong>, designed to guide, activate, and track sustainable steps, helping adults form habits and monitor their progress.<\/span><\/li>
    • Organize community events<\/strong> \u2014from family-friendly activities to local workshops and promotional events designed to encourage action, empower participants, and strengthen collaboration.<\/span><\/li>
    • Raise awareness through the media<\/strong> \u2013 using social media and awareness-raising to share stories, highlight successes, and encourage broader community involvement.<\/span><\/li><\/ul>

      What impact do we expect?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

      By the end of the project, adults will have access to tailored, practical tools that enable sustainable living in everyday life. Communities will benefit from greater inclusion and participation, and participants will gain new knowledge and confidence in contributing to the green transition. In the long term, the project will support the development of adult capacity and ensure that sustainability education continues after the end of the project.<\/span><\/p>

      DIVERSE SOCIETIES AND DIGITAL PARTICIPATION<\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

      We are happy to present the start of new project DIVE \u2013 Diverse Societies and Digital Participation<\/strong>, a 28-month project that brings together partners from across Europe with the aim of strengthening youth work in diverse communities and improving digital collaboration.<\/span><\/p>

      The project is coordinated by Via Kreaktion (Germany) in cooperation with Stichting Dar al Yasmin (Netherlands), ISZ \u2013 Institute Center for Advocacy (Slovenia), Consiglio Italiano del Movimento Europeo (Italy), and Cruz Vermelha Portuguesa \u2013 Delega\u00e7\u00e3o de Cucuj\u00e3es (Portugal).<\/span><\/p>

      Project DIVE responds to growing challengesof divesity, integration and digitalisaion within youth work.<\/span><\/strong> The objectives of the project are:<\/span><\/p>

      • Provide youth workers with digital skills and innovative tools to address the needs of young people in diverse societies.<\/span><\/li>
      • Promote tolerance, diversity, and civic engagement through non-formal education and digital resources.<\/span><\/li>
      • Strengthen cross-sectoral cooperation between youth, educational, and public institutions.<\/span><\/li>
      • Raise awareness of European values and encourage active participation in inclusive communities.<\/span><\/li><\/ul>

        How will we operate? In the coming months, the partnership will carry out several key activities:<\/span><\/p>

        • Resource platform<\/strong> \u2013 with teaching materials on migration and diversity, digital skills, and civic participation.<\/span><\/li>
        • Training courses and webinars<\/strong> \u2013 to strengthen the capacity of youth workers both in person and online.<\/span><\/li>
        • Pilot phase<\/strong> \u2013 testing and using digital tools in local youth work through training and mentoring sessions.<\/span><\/li>
        • Intercultural city guide<\/strong> \u2013 created through digital storytelling from all five partner countries to highlight diversity and shared experiences.<\/span><\/li>
        • Round tables and public events<\/strong> \u2013 bringing together integration actors, educators, and decision-makers to share results and strengthen cooperation.<\/span><\/li><\/ul>

          Expected impact:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

          The project will provide youth workers with the knowledge and resources to better support young people with and without a migrant background. Through a combination of digital skills, intercultural understanding, and civic engagement, young people will gain practical tools for navigating diverse societies and actively participating in their communities.<\/span><\/p>

          DIVE will also strengthen cooperation between local actors and create synergies that will continue after the end of the project. Together, we are working towards more inclusive, tolerant, and digitally ready societies across Europe.<\/span><\/p>

          PEACE EDUCATION IN ACTION: CREATING SUSTAINABLE FUTURES (PEACE ACT)<\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

          In November 2024, we started a new project led by MT\u00dc Mondo from Estonia<\/strong>, financed by European Union, Erasmus+ program <\/strong>. Namely, the project entitled \u2018\u2019Peace Education in Action: Creating Sustainable Futures\u2019\u2019<\/em> addresses social challenges such as the feeling of fear, the rise of conflicts and the lack of inclusive dialogue in our communities. The reason for addressing such issues is primarily the unrest and challenges around the world, which arise from different perspectives and conflicts.<\/p>

          The project appeals to young people by supporting the increase of quality, innovation and visibility of youth work. The aim of the project is to promote peace education among youth workers in the partner countries (Estonia, Finland, Slovenia and Georgia) \u2013 strengthening their capacities to promote peace, democracy and social cohesion in their communities. Thus, we believe that Peace Education is a powerful tool for equipping individuals, especially young people and youth workers, with the skills and mindsets needed to actively participate in conflict resolution, promote dialogue and build resilient and harmonious (democratic) societies.<\/span><\/p>

          Over the course of the 30-month project, we will focus on innovative approaches to peace education, leveraging the expertise of a coalition of international partners. Capacity-building events, local peace education courses, and community-based interventions will directly address the identified problems and contribute to the broader goal of building a network of informed and engaged youth workers.<\/span><\/p>

          What can you expect?<\/strong> Increased quality and innovation of youth work, as youth workers in Slovenia will also have the opportunity to educate themselves through peace education courses and \u2018\u2019Democray Fitness\u2019\u2019 trainings. In addition, the project partners will ensure a platform for the exchange of innovative approaches and organizational strategies. Last but not least, young people will be able to enjoy peace action spaces in urban areas, along with jointly developed interactive workshops.<\/p>

          ART MINDS: MINORITY INCLUSION VIA DIGITAL STORYTELLING<\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

          Art MINDS: Minority Inclusion via Digital Storytelling is a project that aims to equip adult educators with new methods of minority (Roma, refugees and migrants) inclusion, based on the appreciation of minority cultural heritage and the method of digital storytelling.<\/span><\/p>

          Project partners from Austria, Madeira and Slovenia set themselves the goal of developing a digital platform with 30 digital stories that will serve as a \u201cmuseum\u201d of the mutual influence of minority and majority cultures in Austria, Portugal and Slovenia. The project addresses inclusion and diversity, creating learning opportunities, managing digital change, bridging intercultural differences, developing digital skills and promoting cultural heritage. The project aims to positively impact these priorities and contribute to a more inclusive and cohesive European society.<\/span><\/p>

          The project aims<\/strong> to exchange best practices in promoting the cultural heritage of ethnic minorities within their country and region, while fostering intercultural exchanges through minority inclusion and digital storytelling. The project aims to improve the social inclusion of minorities through the development of digital skills. The project also aims to promote the self-efficacy and self-confidence of minorities by valuing their cultural heritage. Finally, the project strives to improve the skills of educators in the field of intercultural learning approaches and digital storytelling, and to develop and strengthen European networks for intercultural dialogue and minority inclusion. In doing so, the project partners are creating important opportunities for learning and changing the relationship between cultures.<\/p>
